I probably should have added closure on my 2013 post. My mother never made it out of the nursing home, except to go back to he hospital where she passed away. She passed away the morning of Dec. 7th.

My family got a new dog in early November, right around Thanksgiving of that year. Another Rottweiler. He is still with us as I write this. But he has been suffering with late stage Lyme for a couple of months now. After a HEAVY round of doxycycline, MAYBE we have it out of him. But it has already gotten him started with arthritis, so he will likely suffer with that for the rest of his life. He does his best to keep up, though. Just a little favoring of one of his legs.

So... nine years without posting. In that time, we finally finished with Obama, elected perhaps the best president since Reagan, and have gone on to have installed (I refuse to believe he actually won a fair election) probably the worse president in this nation's history. #LetsGoBrandon!

Gas has risen from the low ~$2/gallon, to a peak over this past weekend where I am of $4.99, all under the auspices of our new *resident Biden. He tries to blame it on Russia and Covid, but only the most simple-minded believe that. Russia isn't helping, nor is Covid. But neither would be as big a factor if he hadn't cancelled pipelines, removed drilling leases, and was worshipping at the great altar of global warming. Or climate change. Whatever the fifth column is currently calling it.

We can only hope that the abysmal approval number for Biden, and the insane antics of the leftist Democrats in Congress, will result in a true red tidal wave at the mid-terms, and we can start getting this nation back on the right track.
